“Challenged Art” project

Since last year, Artie has been participating in the “Challenged Art” project through our printmaking work.

This project focuses on artworks created by “challenged” designers — a global term referring to people with disabilities.
Three companies, including Artie, have worked together under the key theme of “co-creation.”

The three companies involved are:

Cross Company Inc., a design company that creates artworks in collaboration with challenged designers,

Art Vivant Inc., a sales company that promotes challenged art,

and our team at Artie, a fine art print studio that produced the print edition for this project.

After many trials and experiments since last year, we are happy to announce that the project is finally ready for release.

The featured work we would like to introduce this time is “Supernova at the Edge of the World” by JUNJUN.

This piece was created by rolling super balls dipped in blue and pink ink, forming unique trails across the canvas as if they have a will of their own.
To fully express this energy, Artie added a glossy finish to give the work extra depth and presence.

At Artie, we do not see printmaking as simple reproduction.
We value the spirit of “creating together,” and we complete each piece through conversation with the artist and experimental techniques.

When we think about it, it’s rare for a project like this to succeed with just one company alone.
This “co-creation” project reminded us that, although the three companies have different roles, we all shared the same professional mindset.
It became a valuable experience that showed us the real meaning of creating something together.

We at Artie hope to continue being a creative studio that brings out expressions that go one step beyond imagination.
